E3 Round Up Day 3: Square Enix

Day 3 was a hefty day folks. Can Square Enix deliver on the hype?!

I was at work during Square’s event, but from what I seen, it was short, and didn’t show much of anything. Let’s go over what they had to show.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider: September 14, 2018

We did get some new gameplay footage for Laura Croft’s next entry. As you probably expected, it looks more of the same, but it does look so good. This game will have full underwater exploration as well as the biggest hub ever featured in a Tomb Raider game, more tombs (I’m talking about the puzzles, not a play on the title) and more traversal techniques.

Final Fantasy XIV x Monster Hunter World Crossover

I’ve tried Monster Hunter World, and while it wasn’t my cup of tea, this looks pretty cool.

Dragon Quest XI: September 4, 2018

If this game didn’t release during it’s September release date, I’d probably pick it up. Expect to be able to get it on Steam and PS4 September 4!

Babylon’s Fall: 2019

PlatinumGames is back in the kitchen cooking up something new for us. I honestly don’t know what this could be. It kind of reminds me of Dark Souls just based off the character models.

Just Cause 4: December 4, 2018

Alright, I’m not gonna lie to you. That looked pretty darn good. HOWEVER, so did Just Cause 3, so I’m holding back my excitement until it comes out. Could this be the entry we deserve?

The Quiet Man: TBD

That was… quiet. I don’t really know what to say except the video ends with “More to come in August”. Stay tuned folks!

Kingdom Hearts 3: Never (haha just kidding) January 2019

Pretty sure this was the same trailer that was shown during Xbox’s conference, but slightly different.

That was all? I guess people on the Interweb said their conference lasted about 30 minutes (probably an exaggeration). No information on the Final Fantasy VII remake either, but given how long it took them to make KH3, I don’t expect anything any time soon. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
