Void Interactive is cooking up something dope. Let’s talk about it.
Maybe it’s just me, but this trailer (8 mins is considered a trailer??) is pretty good. In case you skipped the video, here’s the description of the game on its website…
“READY OR NOT IS A REALISTIC TACTICAL FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, SET AGAINST A BACKDROP OF POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC INSTABILITY IN THE UNITED STATES. YOU ARE PLACED IN THE BOOTS OF JUDGE, AN ELITE SWAT COMMANDER BEING TASKED WITH DEFUSING TENSE, HOSTILE SITUATIONS IN A MORALLY BANKRUPT CITY.”
No this isn’t Rainbow Six Siege 2 (I know it’s sad). I saw a lot of good things in this that got me hyped and hoping that this wasn’t ..
- A PC only exclusive
- Somehow had a surprise release date of tomorrow (Dang you Apex Legends)
So what’s going here.
You take control of a team of “smartly designed AI” as you confront hostiles and civilians in a “story-rich campaign”. In the video, cool gadgets are shown such as a drone or a camera that fits under a door, you can lock pick doors or go in guns blazing, and much more.
With plenty of options for customization, a smart speech system for giving directions, and realism galore, think Siege but a smaller budget version (no insult). There’s also a competitive multiplayer experience to go along with the game, and for those who don’t like multiplayer, there’s co-op for you and the gang.
My friend texted me his response to this video by saying it looks like Payday 2, and I’ll agree with that.
I think this looks good. I like the feel of slower, more tactical games such as Insurgency compared to years of Call of Duty and Battlefield. That being said, the game isn’t out until Q4 2020. I’m impatient, but you could tell this game needs more time in the oven. Pre-order options are already up with alpha/beta access included.

What do you think of Ready or Not? I’m going to give it a shot! I do know the memes are going to spicy once the public gets their hands on it.
