New Reveals

New games coming soon.

I’ve been slacking. I’m trying to catch up on Final Fantasy VII Remake, started playing The Last of Us Part II and been working my life away. Besides my personal sob story, I’ve been paying attention to all the gaming events that have been going on. Today I’m going to talk about two of the gaming announcements that have caught my eye.

Stars War: Squadrons

Not going to lie, EA play was a pretty lame event. Many fans were hoping for cool announcements bringing back Dead Space or revealing a new Battlefield/Dragon Age game. Long story short, we received none of that. What we did receive was a Star Wars: Squadrons gameplay trailer divulging what the game will be, how it will work, and what to expect. Check it out.

The trailer was pretty cool as it gave us a lot of information. I wish more developers would do more trailers like this rather than saying “BRAND NEW GAMEPLAY REVEAL TRAILER” that shows nothing.

I think this game is pretty interesting due to a couple of things with my first reason being the most important (to me at least).

  1. This could definitely have been added to Battlefront 2 instead of being sold as a separate game.
  2. This game also is a 5v5 format which makes me wonder if players will try to make it competitive/esports viable.
  3. It makes me think of No Man’s Sky, or at least what I thought it was going to be when it launched.
  4. Cross play and no microtransactions is being said to be what we can look forward to… Too good to be true?

This game launches on October 2nd, 2020.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time

I suck at the Crash Bandicoot games.

Above statement being said, I think this looks pretty cool. I’m interested to see if this new game is going to hold the same difficulty standard that the older games had because they were hard, at least in my opinion.

Expect to Crash some Bandicoots on October 2nd, 2020 which is also the same date as Star Wars: Squadrons.

Rocksteady’s Next Title….?

Okay this isn’t a reveal, but this caught my eye.

We all know Rocksteady for the amazing work they did with the Batman Arkham series. Well, according to Eurogamer, they are supposedly working on another DC based game but probably not what you expected.

After the Suicide Squad movie came out a few years ago, this doesn’t make me too excited. However, the optimist in me knows that Rocksteady could make something good here. If this is true, which Eurogamer is convinced, I wonder how they will do it. Could we see something like the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games? Or maybe they’ll make it focus on one character in particular. I’m curious to see what could be done here, and besides this “confirmation”, there’s no dates attached to this. However, this is reportedly being worked on for next gen consoles along with that other game featuring the Court of Owls.

That’s all I got though. I’m still keeping my eyes and ears open in case something new and amazing is announced, but for now I’m going to wrap up some games so I can do some reviews.
